N was looking through a long-lost volume of Tintin. He appeared to be slowly flipping through the pages without reading any of the dialogue.
So I asked him to read as well as look at the pictures.
He read, "Beasts! Swine! Cowards!"
Uh. Oh.
I leaned over and saw a picture of Captain Haddock shaking his fist at a plane that flying low and trying to sabotage the boat he and Tintin were in.
Right thing to say to N, but totally the wrong time.

I think you could find far worse that the utterances of the good Captain. In fact, he is quite tame when compared with American Television!
Viva Tintin!
Hyuck hyuck....so much for 'good' comics !
But I have to agree that Tintin is one of the best...:)
hey, got here through U-Junkie's blog...I have to agree with the others, Tintin's pretty decent compared to a lot of other stuff...
Hi all, I know, it could have been a worse patch in the book.:) In India, especially, I'd much rather him be reading Tintin that watching even the Disney Channel. Too many wrong ads, etc.
Monk, thank you for visiting and welcome!
Ooops! Wrong time, indeed.
But I agree, he could do a lot worse. 'Beast' and 'coward' actually sound cute when compared with some options that spring too readily to mind these days ...
Anjali, yeah they do..:)
