Oh dear...
It's so sad! The violence, the anger, the hatred never ceases and until it does or at least become less prevalent, there will never be any kind of lasting peace anywhere. The world of today just seems to breed far more hatred than love. Doesn't offer much for peaceful solutions.

The pictures are mind jolting.. such violence shakes me up completely, civilisation seems pointless.

On the other hand, I love the new look around here.
while we all mean well to Iranian people-- one expert on CNN was saying.. the western is underestimating the support for current president.. and ofcourse let's not forget iran is only functioning (sort of) democracy in middle east.. and even US/bush first term election was not perfect.
I had left you a comment, but I think Blogger ate it up thinking it was some sort of munchie.

The only siver lining that see is that the people are able to talk through social media. and we are able to see.
And atleast, theres been an enquiry.
Sometimes i wonder, how power corrupts. And absolute power..absolutely.
At other times, i just have no doubt.
I watched the news tonight for the first time in five days and discovered why I am better off not switching it on. When will they ever learn. I thank God I live in England. In spite of the mess our Members of Parliament sometimes get themselves into we are just so damm lucky.

@ Yuva, for me, the more fascinating aspect of this election is the people's reaction, their hopes, dreams and desires and how deeply they are involved in the election. Not so much the election process itself. The post was not meant to compare Iran with other democracies or to point out faults in the voting in Iran.
Irrespective of the outcome, social media has finally opened a door into Iranian society and their aspirations through this process.
It will be hard for the US policymakers to now label Iranians as the "Axis of Evil" after seeing such an expression of democracy.
In the end, that might save us another war...
