Has this ever happened to you?

That, when you are feeding your child, you take a few bites out of the bowl in the hope that it empties sooner?

In the back of your mind you know that you may have mixed too much in the first place and so you help the process along. Alternatively, if the bowl empties too soon you will go and mix some more if your child wants more. But still. It's a weird set of thoughts.

If this has never happened to any of you moms or dads, you'd better not tell me.

N'ville Mom, I'm glad you remembered your mom, but cerelac! No! I was talking about cheerios and yogurt rice and stuff like that. :)

I have to confess - I take a few bites - yes, one reason to empty it sooner. But there's another don't-tell-anyone kind of reason too... I simply cannot resist if it's paruppu chaadham with rasam, the nei pesanja kind (mushy with a generous portion of ghee)..Oh, my...ya, mom's tastebuds haven't grown yet! Yes. I do the same with creamy yogurt rice too!! :-)

If I am feeding the older and I am hungry you may well imagine what happens and when in a rush, yes to accelerate the process, we moms need to help them don't we ?

Got your mail, shall respond soon

My sister still mopes around the kids and their food bowls, hoping for that one "thutthu"

I ate simply because I was hungry and my kid wasn't eating fast enough!! I rationalised that I could always fill his bowl again.. but let the obviously starving party have a few nips in as well now!!
