Updated to bold "148. Shaved your head", though probably not in the manner the list thinks of it. I was 2 or 3 and our family followed the tradition of sacrificing hair to the family deity. There's a black and white photograph of the man shaving my hair off with a long razor blade and me screaming my head off.

Hi Sujatha, thanks for your comment on my blog and I've been following your blog for a long time now :-) My name is Siri...And just for the record, I love the way you write. A lot of what I have read on your blog I have been able to feel at some point or another, including the moving to another country and being an immigrant part.

"150 things to do before you turn 30" includes gems like these:

75. Gotten divorced
103. Had plastic surgery
109. Touched a stingray
149. Caused a car accident

Is the list creator (whoever that is) actually saying these should be on anyone's to-do list? :)

Yo Chox, sent you an e-mail. Pls to check.

Siri, thank you!

Lekhni, what about the one about burying one or both or your parents! This is some kind of a "the events most likely to have occurred in an American's life" or some such thing.

Hey, no fair. I thought you said you didn't do tags.
Here's my version, anyway.

Cheers

I took the "buried" one metaphorically,. But you are right, this list can only occur in an American's life.

"106. Lost over 100 pounds" is classic. So is
"76. Gone without food for 5 days" :)

In other parts of the world, #76 might mean a famine; in the US, it just means anorexia :)

Yuva, thanks.

MG, can't say I love the process, but love the results!

Lekhni, hmmm, I took it literally to mean one or more of your parents have passed away. Not something you'd want to check off a list.

I realised what you meant later-I was thinking about you dying your hair green or red or something

Sujatha Bagal said...

MG, no, you're right, am not that brave! :)

I agree, #92 is morbid. So is #104, and having something like #38 on the list suggests this list's author must be clinically depressed ;)

great, "i think these are a few good things to do in life"... nah.. i disagree. you nailed a few. but, all-in-all, the "bucket-list" of each is different. think deeper. probably a surmounting probes deeper.. who are you anyway?? have you ever been to any of these places?? have you ever done any of these things?? i am curious to know.
