After School Care in Bangalore

I know day care is a big concern in Bangalore for those families in which both parents work and who don't have family there. A quick post to tell you about a new after school care center called Spectrum (via Sue). Here's their blurb and address:
Spectrum is an After School Care Centre where children nurtured through holistic development, leaving parents worry free to concentrate on their careers. Spectrum also has an Activity Centre and provision for academic support.

Location:
#213, 9th Main, HRBR Layout, Bangalore, India, 560043
Phone:
+919886320707
I don't have any personal experience with this center. I'm just passing this information on for those who are interested. Needless to say, please investigate the center and their services and make sure you are comfortable with them before signing up.

So nice to see you back at blogging, Sujatha.
Ah how I wish Rome had a place like Spectrum! No child in Rome has the luxury of being "nurtured through holistic development" it would be wonderful to not feel guilty about going to work!

Hello Sujatha,
Informative blog you have here!
Keep up the good work!
I happened to come to your blog when I googled for "moving to Bangalore from US" and yours was the first one on the list. The sections about schools in Bangalore were very informative and an eye-opener.We plan to move to Bangalore for good (I hope!) next year and I have been browsing online for any help that the Internet world can provide about schools in Bangalore. We have a flat on Bannerghatta road and plan to move into it .I have been trying to find any good school in that area for my now 3-yr old son though he will be 4 next year when we move. I would really appreciate it if you could find any inputs from parents who send their kids to any one of the following schools. They are all on Bannerghatta Rd because I absolutely agree that I couldnt let my son go through hours of gruelling bus rides to and fro from the school each and every day.
1) Radcliffe High (new campus in B'lore)
2)Sherwood High (new campus in B'lore)
3)DPS South ( this I believe is a little far off but many of the folks from our building apparently send their kids to this school)
4)BGS
I am also interested in knowing abt good, truly international schools in the area.
I am all for holistic approach to learning rather than learning by rote or the "traditional" school system.
Hope to hear from you! Take care.
