Keeping Geography Real

A neat way to kickstart interest in geography and to sustain it, I found, is to put up a wall map of the world or a map of the country you are in and mark each city your child has visited with a tiny sticker. It's mighty thrilling to see the excitement building in your child's face as you mark each city and the interest spreads to what's around that city and beyond.
